Head Heavy racquets are also known as power racquets. More weight is distributed at the top of the racket head, giving you more momentum in your swing. This produces more powerful shots. Badminton Clears become mostly effortless, and Smashes are often DEADLY.
These racquets are suitable if you are an aggressive player, playing mostly from the rear court.
Power racquets give you significantly more power in your badminton shots, but they can slow down your recovery time. You are likely to sacrifice some speed for power if you choose a head heavy racket.
You should go for Head Heavy racquets only if you:
- Are a big fan of smashing
- Play singles in badminton
- Attack very often from the rear court in doubles
Note for Beginners: You might want to reconsider a Head Heavy badminton racquet as it can be physically demanding on the wrist and arm. If Head Heavy is not for you, see our range of All Rounder or Control Rackets.
