The Astrox 99 Pro is designed in collaboration with Kento Momota to provide the best offensive playing experience to any badminton player.
The Astrox 99 Pro will still be able to produce the heaviest swing weight in the Yonex Astrox series. However, newer frame technologies are applied to this new version to create better control, faster recovery, and easier hitting (improved user friendliness).
Standard Features
Unleash devastating power!
Special Namd Graphite as seen in the previous model to create a steep shuttlecock angle.
NEW Power Assist Bumper
This is a new grommet strip positioned at the 12 o clock of the frame. The main purpose is to add more swing weight to the racquet. The secondary function is to accommodate for the improved rotational generator system (hybrid functions)
Improved Rotational Generator System
The Rotational Generator System (hybrid function) of the Astrox efficiently focuses the racquet weight distribution at the top, middle, and bottom of the racquet to create the hybrid effect.
Using a new material, the VOLUME CUT RESIN, the Astrox 99 PRO is able to maintain its current swing weight while taking off weight on the head frame, so you get more control while you're not swinging the racquet. This also adds to better recovery after hitting every shot.
The end result is, the racquet feels lighter on hand when you're holding it. Upon doing full swings, the Astrox 99 PRO still produces the heaviest swing weight (power) in the series.
Modified Frame for Larger Sweet Spot
Despite having a compact head frame, the Astrox 99 PRO has a modified frame shape to enlarge the sweet spot. This makes it easier for players to hit the correct spot to produce the optimum power. It is also more user friendly compared to the previous model.

Great single and double racquet!!!
When I smashed this racket from the backcourt, it felt terrific compared to my Yonex Astrox 88D Pro, which I presently use for doubles. The power of this racquet is a beast that the power assist bumper assisted me in smashing swiftly as the shuttlecock reached the sweet spot of the racquet; when it comes to defence, it was appropriate for the weight when I guarded it quickly. Control is adequate for nets, drops, and clean shots. It is highly suggested for someone who enjoys smashing and has good badminton technique.

Racket review
It’s is a power hitting beast. However, it is little bit of slow in defence.
Rated out of 5 stars. 5 Star being 'Extremely User Friendly'. In our rating, we look at the size of the racquet head, Stiffness of the Shaft, Overall Weight, and the racquet's balance point. In most instances, we recommend beginners choose a more user friendly racquet, where as intermediate to advanced players can opt for the less user friendly racquet.
This is a guide for those who are not sure of your stringing tension, based on average figures for men and women. Higher tension gives you more control, lower tension gives you more power. Higher tension makes the string less durable.
